on this topic, the battery is used on pin 16 for rgb?so we can use pin 9 with 100 ohm to pin 16 for rgb or battery on pin 16 for rgb?these are two alternative ways?
thanks

so far i know ure nvidia card requires a dongle . best way to make sure the av , rgb and 4:3 switch works is to grab 5 and 12 volt from ure computer molex. but i would check your tv set first. some sets do it right without any
modifications . actual vga cables doesnt support 5 volt via pin 9 . either the pin or the wires are missing .

so if i use these cable and grab 5 and 12 volt from computer molex is work with my nvidia card? This cable is for all video cards or just ati?i know nvidia cant output composite sync and ati cards can output composite sync, and i see the cable from the link combined the horizontal and vertical sync signals with 1000 ohm resistor to composite sync,so the cable can work with nvidia?
Thanks.

my guess is nvidia 9xxx cards wont work without a """ dongle """ ! this is a little plug made by sailersat to enable the card to work with soft 15 k . without the dongle it doesnt matter which type of cable ure using .
the 1k ohm story is of some use with cheap tv sets . the sync level with mamescart is way off spec , so some tv s may give a blurry picture . the 2 resistors usually fix this . most videocards are doin fine with twisted sync signals . there are many ways to solder a working mamescart cable . it all depends on the tv set and the graphic card u intend to use. there is no 100 % working in any case circuit .
my advise : check the soft 15 k forum for compatible cards . unless u dont need a powerful vga card for ex. naomi emulation u d better stay with a classic one . dunno if sailersat s goin to fabricate any more dongles .
da .. check this out !

ps. u can find some more information on byoac forum / monitors / sticky fred soft 15 k and scart / rgb blabla . sailersat is doin a part time job other there , hopefully well paid ..
wo steckt sailersat wenn man sie mal braucht ?! :D
actually i dont use the cable for mame,i use for movies, films, videos, but i see nvidia cant output 15 khz without a dongle for my card,so i will just use svideo output for my 32 inch widescreen tv,it will be more easier. If theres a way to use vga to rgb scart cable with soft15khz for watching movies, etc i dont need resolutions under 640x480,i will use it but it seems to be need a dongle to 15khz,if theres a way to do it,i will try it.
Edit:Actually i found this site from http://digilander.libero.it/venturi1975/ i was looking schemes and i searched the pictures in google and i found this site, and vga to rgb scart scheme is easiest and safest i found on this site, but http://digilander.libero.it/venturi1975/ says it will be work on all cards,so it will be work on mine?
Thanks.
