Hi,
Just wondering if the diffs work for the point release versions (i.e. .138u3) when I am compiling, or would we need new diffs for each point release?
Thanks,
Kevin

WTF ? :eek::eek::eek:
When you are compiling MAME (or MAMEUI etc), and you want to do the updates to the latest version (see here (http://mamedev.org/updates/), you apply them to the original MAME source code as a diff. The mods that CabMAME enable are also Diffs, however some things can change between say version 0.138 and 0.138u3.
If you look here (http://community.arcadeinfo.de/showthread.php?t=9555) the CabMAME diffs are available, I'm just asking if they will work on .138u3.

Well...
They MAY work with U-versions.
Depends on what changed :)
Merging the diffs and compiling doesn't take much time. Just try it :).
